From Dokos Island it was an hour of motoring over to Ermioni. With it being our second visit to Ermioni we decided this time, to anchor in the harbour inlet.
We found a spot away from the town quay just out from the headland. With the ferries coming and going, their wake wasn’t a bother to us.
We dingied ashore and found the Post Office where we paid for another month of Tepai (125.00 euro) which is the cruising tax for the month of October. Paul got a hair cut then we walked a short distance over to the other side where all the taverna’s were and enjoyed some lunch.
After a few relaxing days at Ermioni we lifted anchor to head around to Porto Chelli. We sailed part way until the wind dropped then we motor sailed while making some water underway.
From the anchorage the township was a blaze of lights at night.
The sunsets were quite spectacular.
We spent a week in Port Chelli doing alot of boat cleaning jobs getting Calista ready to be lifted out.
We wandered around the seafront and went to the chandlery to purchase a few boat cleaning products. We also found the phone number to phone ahead and arrange for some diesel to top up the tank.
Spotted another Kallista (only with different spelling).
We spotted a motor boat having the same name as Paul’s brother’s nickname. We snapped a photo and sent it to him for a laugh.
On our last morning, we lifted anchor and motored over to the town quay where we berthed alongside and topped up the tanks with 235 litres of diesel. We found the price of diesel at 2.79 per litre quite expensive here in Greece compared to New Zealand.
Once the diesel tank was filled, we departed and sailed around to Kilada.
